Four Ingredient Holiday Spritz
While we were over in Italy, I am pretty sure I drank an aperol spritz every single day - no exaggeration 😂 So I thought it would be fun to create a holiday version of one of my favorite Italian cocktails just in time for your next holiday get together with family and friends 🎄
Full recipe on how to make my holiday spritz is below. I have also included how we made our own cranberry simple syrup as well. It is super easy to do and doesn’t require a ton of time (or ingredients!). I hope you enjoy and if you decide to make these, be sure to tag me over on Instagram Stories when you do 🖤
Cranberry Simple Syrup
Ingredients
2 cups of fresh or frozen cranberries
1 cup of water
1 cup of sugar
Directions
In a small saucepan, combine all ingredients and bring to a boil stirring occasionally to keep the mixture moving.
Once boiling, remove from heat, let cool, and bottle or put into Tupperware to save in the refrigerator for when it’s 5 o’clock somewhere.
Holiday Spritz
Ingredients
3 oz of Prosecco (any sparkling wine will do but I prefer La Marca or La Bella prosecco)
1 oz Aperol
1 oz cranberry simple syrup (recipe above)
Splash of soda water
Directions
Combine all ingredients into a glass with ice. We made spherical ice cubes with cranberries inside for an extra festive touch. Linking our ice mold here.
Be sure to stir well before serving!
To top it off and to make it even more festive, garnish with rosemary and cranberries
Sip, cheers and enjoy!
With love,
~Katie
